In preparing this statement, Metro Housing staff reflected that it felt like writing a break-up note. If it were, we would lead with something like: Dear Elon, It is not us; It is you.
However, this is more serious than a break-up note. This is a statement of Metro Housing’s values and ethics. Given our mission; our commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; our dedication to families and individuals of all backgrounds who seek affordable housing; and the diversity of our staff and participants, we have determined that we can no longer participate in – and therefore validate – the business tool of a morally bankrupt platform.
