Massport to Host Fellowship for the Fourteenth Consecutive Year

Boston, Mass. –Metro Housing|Boston is excited to announce that Morayo Kamson of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Lowell L. Richards, III Fellowship for Leadership and Public Service.
Morayo will complete her fellowship this summer with the Massachusetts Port Authority’s (Massport) Real Estate and Asset Management Department, where Lowell Richards was Chief Development Officer for more than ten years.
“Massport is grateful to have worked with so many remarkable individuals as Lowell Richards Fellows in our Real Estate & Asset Management Department,” said Andrew Hargens, Chief Development Office. “Morayo has a strong background with deep expertise in the field. We are looking forward to welcoming her to team.”
“I am grateful to Massport and Metro Housing for their efforts in keeping the program going every year in honor of Lowell,” said Karen Richards, Lowell’s wife. “Morayo brings a depth of relevant experience for this fellowship, with a strong passion for mission-driven work. I know Lowell would be thrilled to have her continue his vision of supporting the Greater Boston community.”
Morayo holds a bachelor’s degree in science, environmental studies and political science from Santa Clara University and is currently working toward her master’s in urban planning at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.

Richards, III Fellowship in partnership with Massport,” said Morayo. “It was lovely to speak with Karen Richards and learn more about Lowell’s work and legacy in and around the Boston area. I hope to make positive contributions to the ongoing work at Massport and deepen my understanding of urban planning, economic development, and resiliency.”

Lowell L. Richards, III served on Metro Housing|Boston’s Board of Directors for nearly 30 years, as Co-chair for twelve years prior to his passing in 2012.
