Pamela Feingold to Receive 2019 Lowell L. Richards, III Award

Metro Housing is very pleased to honor Pamela Feingold with the 2019 Lowell L. Richards, III Award.  Pam is a Senior Vice President and Group Director of the Community Development Lending Group at Eastern Bank.  The Bank has financed thousands of units of affordable housing using creative methods of financing.  The group supports over $600mm in outstanding community development loans including new market tax credit loans, LIHTC financing and other tools to support housing, charter schools, community health centers, social service organizations and environmental issues.

Pam started her banking career over 30 years ago but her real passion for social justice and affordable housing began when she joined Wainwright bank in 1992.  She helped develop the social agenda for the bank by using the bank’s voice to advocate for social justice issues.  In the early 1990’s, when the housing crisis for people with AIDS was at its highest,  Pam helped to finance over 80% of all the housing for people with AIDS in the city of Boston.  Since then, she has been on the forefront of cutting edge social justice issues, advocating for gender equality, affordable housing for all, support for individuals suffering from substance abuse, mental and physical challenges and access to quality education.

Pam is a member of the board, and past president of the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance, board member and past president of Victory Programs, member of the board and past president of the Children’s Investment Fund as well as a board member of the Boston Rescue Mission and MassInc.  She is on the Leadership Committee of Rosie’s Place and the board of Visitors of Hearth.

Pam graduated from Bowdoin College and received her MBA from Babson College.  She lives in Lynnfield with her husband and daughter and pot belly pig.
