Champions of Housing
The Champions of Housing event was established in 2008 to honor the accomplishments of individuals and organizations best representing Metro Housing|Boston co-founder, William S. Edgerly’s concept of government, nonprofit, and for-profit partnerships to develop, promote, and preserve affordable housing in Greater Boston. Boston Marathon Program
Since 2007, over 40 Boston Marathon runners have joined the race to end homelessness by raising more than $370,000 for Metro Housing|Boston. Funds raised support high-touch, time-unlimited, wrap-around case management services to the region’s most vulnerable residents. Our participation is made possible by John Hancock’s Marathon Nonprofit Program.
